Community Guidelines
Qrush GmbH, Zum Sportplatz 5, 01723 Kesselsdorf, Germany (hereinafter referred to as "Qrush", "we" or "us") operates an event-based dating app (hereinafter referred to as "App"). As an app for event-based dating, it is important to us that we provide all users of our app with uniform guidelines that enable everyone to use our app safely and with joy. We have designed these Community Guidelines for this purpose. Together with our Terms and Conditions, these guidelines apply to all users of our app.
The following rules apply to the use of our app:
1. Use by minors or data and images of minors
To use our app, users must have reached the age of 18. The use of the app by persons under 18 years of age is strictly prohibited.
It is also not permitted to use content (especially images) that depicts minors (under 18 years) in a profile picture.
2. Images
All users must upload a current picture for joining an event, which is valid for the respective day.
This image must be an authentic image of the user personally. It may not be a screenshot, image of photos and/or other screens, nor created or modified by AI or similar technical aids.
The image may show the user but without simultaneously showing the consumption of alcohol, cigarettes, hookahs or similar items. Furthermore, it must not be a nude image or show primary or secondary sexual characteristics in whole or in part.
3. Child pornographic content/child abuse, sexual exploitation
In our app, any content that sexualizes minors (persons under 18 years of age) or promotes or glorifies the sexual exploitation of minors or children, child pornographic content, as well as content that calls for, shows or mentions child abuse is strictly prohibited. Should we become aware of such content, we will immediately inform the responsible government agencies, especially law enforcement and public safety authorities. Specifically prohibited are:
- Visual depictions of minors in sexually explicit or sexually suggestive acts.
- Illustrated, computer-generated, or other depictions of minors in a sexually explicit context or during sexually explicit acts.
- Links to third-party providers presenting material showing the sexual exploitation of minors or children.
- Fantasies about the sexual exploitation of minors or children, or encouragement of the sexual exploitation of minors or children.
- Expressions of desire to obtain material showing the sexual exploitation of minors or children.
- Recruitment, advertising, or expression of interest in: (i.) commercial sexual acts with minors or a child, or (ii.) harboring or transporting minors or a child for sexual purposes.
- Identification of alleged victims of sexual exploitation in childhood by name or photos.
In addition, any actions by users aimed at recruiting helpless persons or persons under 21 years of age to introduce them to prostitution, further sexual acts, or slavery, among other things, are not permitted.
4. Pornographic and sexualized content
Pornographic and sexualized content is not allowed in our app. Prohibited pornographic and sexualized content includes in particular:
- Any depictions of sexual acts as well as any kind of pornography.
- Nudity that objectively aims at the sexual arousal of other users, for example when genitals, buttocks or breasts are fully or partially exposed or shown in close-up.
- Depictions of sex toys or extreme fetishes, including infantilism.
- Content that describes or calls for topics such as necrophilia or sodomy. This also applies to sexual or sexualized representations of human- or animal-like beings or avatars, such as in hentai, comics, anime, or other digital media and animations.
- Offers or requests for sexual acts, escort services, or similar services in exchange for money payments, gifts, financial support, or other monetary benefits.
- Content that simulates sexual acts or offers them for payment.
5. Hate speech, racist and terrorist content
We do not tolerate any content that promotes or spreads violence or hatred against individuals or certain groups based on characteristics such as ethnic origin, religion, disability, health status, age, nationality, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, caste, immigration status, or similar characteristics. This includes content that supports systematic discrimination or exclusion. Examples of content not tolerated include:
- Right- or left-wing radical content.
- Politically extreme statements or messages.
- Extremist or terrorist content, especially those calling for or glorifying violence or acts of terrorism.
- Content associated with terror regimes or terrorism.
- Party political content.
- Advertising for materials, symbols, or behaviors (such as flags and badges) associated with groups that contradict our constitutional values or the free democratic basic order (e.g., the swastika).
- Posts that call for violence against other people or contain such threats.
- Content that publicly calls for the commission of crimes.
- Content that spreads hateful vilifications, stereotypes, or theories that negatively portray a particular group (e.g., as particularly vile, corrupt, or threatening) or objectively suggest that this group poses a danger.
- Posts suggesting that a particular group (e.g., people of a certain religious community) is inhuman, inferior, or contemptible.
- Content that encourages hating or discriminating against individuals because of their membership in a particular group.
6. Fraudulent behavior (such as scamming) as well as abusive use and identity theft
In our app, fraudulent behaviors and content are expressly prohibited. This includes, in particular, the dissemination of information aimed at presenting false facts to other users in order to gain an advantage, which does not necessarily have to be of a financial nature. We consider problematic, among other things, the deliberate deception of other users to mislead them and thereby gain advantages in partner search or in other areas. This prohibition applies both to the use of bots, which are not allowed in our app, and to the behavior of individuals or users.
Prohibited actions include, without claim to completeness: pretending to have a false identity, false information (for example, by creating multiple profiles, so-called "fake profiles," or spreading incorrect information), as well as pretending to be in financial distress with the intention of obtaining money payments or other benefits (such as "scamming," "romance scamming," or "marriage fraud").
7. Own business activity or promotion of third-party business activity (e.g., advertising)
Our app aims to bring people together in the context of events. This excludes the use of the app for own or third-party advertising and spam for products, services, or other companies for all users of the app, with the exception of the organizers of the specific event.
Neither the profile picture, the profile name, nor the chats may contain advertising messages.
It is prohibited to ask for contact details after a match in order to conduct advertising.
Also, the prospect of job offers and other offers to earn money is prohibited.
8. Insults and defamation
Freedom of opinion and tolerance have limits when content is insulting or humiliating, defamatory, threatening, vilifies a religious confession, or constitutes slander. Not tolerated are:
- Insults that violate the honor of another user.
- Unobjective and unsubstantiated conspiracy theories or claims.
- Insulting or untrue and defamatory statements that a user makes about third parties to another person.
- Disparagement of religious confessions, religious communities, or worldview associations.
- Threats of violence or crimes against another user or their close relatives.
9. Inappropriate, offensive, and vulgar content
Offensive or vulgar content, even if not pornographic or sexualized, is prohibited in our app. This includes in particular:
- Obscenities and insults in any form, including texts, emojis, images, graphics, collages, language, or gestures.
- Bloodthirsty or violence-glorifying content. This includes depictions of death, violence, torture, surgical procedures, open wounds, severe injuries, or mutilations on humans or animals, whether graphic or textual. Also prohibited are depictions of blood, other bodily fluids, or feces, even if shown on human- or animal-like beings or avatars.
- Content depicting accident scenes, exposed internal organs or bones, and severe physical damage such as visible wounds or broken bones.
- Content aimed at stirring fear or prejudice against a particular group of people, including claims that members of a group engage in dangerous or illegal activities (e.g., "all [religious group] are terrorists").
- Racist terms, swear words, racist and sexist (pictorial) expressions, or other derogatory material.
- Humiliations and negative prejudices directed against users, individuals, or certain groups of people.
- Denial of significant tragic events, such as the Holocaust or the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
- Lack of sensitivity towards the death of a real person or a specific group of people, whether by suicide, overdose, or natural causes.
- Gender-hostile or homophobic behavior.
- Begging for money or other donations.
10. Bullying and stalking
Each user is obligated to respect other users' desire for distance. Continuous harassment or incitement to such actions is prohibited. Even the attempt to harass, molest, stalk, or intimidate other users is not allowed in our app and during events promoted by us. In particular, the following behaviors are prohibited:
- Sending unwanted sexual content or messages that sexually degrade someone or involve sexual misconduct.
- Multiple intrusive messages to a user who does not respond.
- Repeated profile visits despite being blocked.
- Creating new profiles after a ban to re-establish contact with a blocked user.
11. Coercion and blackmail
Blackmailing or coercive content is strictly prohibited. Examples of this include:
- Threatening to publish intimate images of another user if they do not agree to a meeting.
- Threatening to disclose private images if a demanded amount of money is not paid.
12. IT and data security
To protect our IT, it is not permitted to:
Allow accounts to be registered automatically, execute harmful code, software viruses, malware or other harmful computer code, files or programs, automatically extract data from our database to create own data collections, send phishing messages to other users.
13. Content that violates copyright and other industrial property rights
Each user must ensure that they have authorization to use the content they utilize. In particular, this content must not infringe on third-party copyright or other industrial property rights, such as copyright, trade secret protection, patent rights, or trademark rights. Lawful use of such content may exist, among other things, if the rights holders have consented and the user can prove this in case of doubt.
14. Abusive use of the reporting function
Our chat offers the possibility to report illegal or inappropriate content. However, misuse of this reporting function is not permitted. Repeatedly submitting unfounded or malicious reports may have consequences. A warning or notification will be given before measures are taken.
Whether misuse exists depends in particular on the frequency of clearly unfounded reports within a certain period of time. Misuse occurs when reports are repeatedly made without reason and it is clearly recognizable to our moderation team that no violation exists. Otherwise, each report is thoroughly examined. Repeated misuse may result in a temporary or, depending on the severity, permanent blocking of the account.
15. Our approach to reports
We have introduced a system that allows users to report problematic content on our app at any time. Registered users can use the reporting function for this purpose, while non-registered individuals or authorities can alternatively contact us via email, contact form, or other communication channels. We confirm every report.
Our moderation team carefully and objectively examines all reports received. If necessary, the team contacts the reporting user to clarify additional information. The assessment is made on the basis of applicable laws and our internal guidelines.
If illegal content or policy violations are identified, we delete them and take further measures, which, depending on the severity of the incident, can range up to temporary or permanent blocks. Particularly serious violations, such as those against laws protecting minors, lead to an immediate and final ban. Decisions are based on factors such as the severity of the incident, previous behavior patterns, and the protection interests of other users. All relevant information is documented in accordance with data protection regulations. Reports about chat messages are released for review by the moderation team.
Affected users are informed by email about measures against them and receive a justification as well as information about their legal remedies. Content that violates our guidelines is described in the notification without revealing exact details, to clarify the violation to the user.
If there are indications of possible criminal offenses that pose a serious danger to persons, we immediately inform the responsible authorities and provide relevant information.
The reporting users are also informed about our decisions, regardless of whether measures were taken or not, so they know about their further options.
Our decisions are based on our terms of use and community guidelines. Our moderation team usually assumes the review and classification of reported content.
To support moderation work, we use digital tools that automatically check private and public content for possible violations. Depending on the type of violation, this can lead to an immediate block, a request for verification, or a manual review by the team.
Images uploaded by users are checked by special software. Serious violations are automatically removed and lead to a block, while lighter violations are manually assessed by the team.
Users can contest decisions through various legal remedies. They receive the information via SMS. Within six months after a decision, they can file a complaint with the internal complaint management. In the case of justified complaints, the decision is revised.
Users within the EU whose complaints could not be resolved in the internal management system can additionally consult an out-of-court conciliation body.
Regardless of this, all users have access to judicial remedies.
