The South American underground has quietly become one of the most exciting breeding grounds
for contemporary House and Minimal, with a new generation of producers bringing fresh
perspectives while remaining deeply connected to the dancefloor. Among them is Argentina's own
Guile, whose productions have steadily found their way into record bags through a combination of
rolling grooves, understated musicality, and an instinctive understanding of club dynamics.
With releases including Joe's Garage, Freak EP, The Crack E.P. on Spaghetti Club, alongside
Execute and the recent Bleep Me A Beat, Guile continues to refine a sound that moves effortlessly
between House, Tech House, Breaks, and Minimal. Rather than chasing obvious moments, his
productions favor subtle progression, carefully crafted rhythm, and the kind of groove that unfolds
naturally over the course of a long set.
We're delighted to welcome Guile to Hamburg for the next edition of Torture the Artist pres.
eDEMi. Before stepping into Haus73's Anbau later that evening, he'll first join us for an intimate
edition of absolutely on music, recorded live at the Sunyard.
For both the stream and the club, Guile will be accompanied by Holger Breuer, founder of Torture
the Artist. Known for deeply curated vinyl sets rooted in Minimal, Deep House, and Tech House—
with subtle nods to UK sounds and Hip-Hop—Holger has developed an approach centered
around patience, groove, and storytelling. Together, both artists share a philosophy that values
carefully selected records over fleeting trends, making this collaboration a natural fit from the first
record of the afternoon to the final track of the night.
Whether discovering new music in the afternoon sun or getting lost on the dancefloor until the
early hours, August 22nd promises another day dedicated to what matters most: thoughtfully
selected music, vinyl culture, and the community that continues to keep the underground moving.
