Frankhan x Galerie Kurzweil: Istanbul meets Darmstadt for a night of serious musical discovery. Istanbul’s Frankhan, led by Selectist, brings the spirit of its Sound Room to Galerie Kurzweil. The Frankhan residents Jonny Rock and Tomoki Tamura alongside director Garan Garan will be joining Kurzweil residents Lukas Lehmann and Daniele Iezzi for a gathering rooted in record culture, adventurous selections and a shared love of the unexpected.

The Houghton regular whose productions and edits find their way into the sets of Ricardo Villalobos, Seth Troxler and beyond, Jonny Rock is a selector’s selector. Connecting offbeat house, psychedelic disco and Turkish and Middle Eastern rarities, his musical world reaches from CircoLoco to Yoyaku with releases on Craig Richards’ The Nothing Special and Seth Troxler’s Slacker 85 reflecting his distinctive approach to the dancefloor.

Alongside him Japanese vinyl specialist Tomoki Tamura has built an international following through deep digging, precise mixing and an instinct for records that surprise. From Osaka through London to Berlin, his journey encompasses fabric, his influential Holic Trax imprint and Doublet, his production partnership with Tuccillo. His selections connect house music’s roots with obscure finds and fresh sounds, always with a dancer’s sense of groove.

Having earned its reputation through epic bookings and curations, Frankhan now brings its electronic music identity to a club that shares its curiosity.

Rare records, unexpected connections and tracks you’ll spend the next morning trying to identify. A night for curious ears and committed dancers.
