About this event

While we’ve just experienced the closure of one of the most important cornerstones in Leipzig’s club culture, the end of another community hub has already been announced. Reels, likes, and play counts have not only been dominating the electronic music scene but underground culture throughout the world. Content is taking over our spaces and creators are forcing venues to pay bank-breaking fees in order to not close down. We were asking ourselves: Is this still the scene we want to be part of? Are these the parties we want to attend—events where every story is already written through the expectations social media has pushed into our timelines?  With MANIAC: SHIFT, we are joining an experiment likeminded crews have been trying to establish throughout recent times. An event that shifts the focus from headliners back to our community—where the driving force isn’t the one behind but in front of the booth. The crowd will be complemented by a lovingly curated but unannounced lineup consisting of local newcomers and established international artists. MANIAC, but shifted. No names. No compromises. Just a night for those who care about the music, the energy, and the people who make it all come alive. Come with an open mind, stay for the unexpected.
